The GYIC Series low-voltage intelligent capacitor integrates a power capacitor, intelligent controller, zero-crossing switch and multi-level protection into one compact, plug-and-play unit — replacing the separate capacitor, contactor, controller and fuse that a conventional compensation panel needs. It is ideal for commercial buildings, industrial facilities and low-voltage distribution networks, and can be expanded module by module as the load grows.

The GYIC Series is applied wherever a low-voltage network carries reactive load: new-energy stations, factories with motor and drive load, commercial complexes, data centers and municipal distribution. The same module works as a standalone compensator or as a building block of a larger compensation bank.

Solar PV & Distributed Wind
Stabilize grid voltage and compensate reactive power fluctuation at grid-tied solar and wind stations, keeping the power factor within the grid-code window under intermittent generation.

Motors, VFDs & Welding Loads
Improve power factor, reduce utility penalty charges and offset the reactive loss of motors and variable-frequency drives on heavy-duty production lines.

Malls, Offices & Critical IT Rooms
Optimize power quality for large office buildings, shopping malls and critical IT power distribution rooms, where elevator, HVAC and UPS loads vary continuously.

Pole-Mounted & Station Service
Suitable for both centralized and distributed low-voltage reactive power compensation, including municipal distribution cabinets and EV charging stations.
Eight engineering decisions separate the GYIC Series from a conventional capacitor-plus-contactor panel. Each one targets a failure mode that shows up in real low-voltage networks.
Zero-voltage turn-on and zero-current turn-off eliminate inrush current and arcing, reduce switching stress on the capacitor and inject no harmonic into the grid.
No inrush currentIndependent single-phase compensation corrects three-phase imbalance and allows targeted correction for the phase with the highest reactive demand.
3-phase imbalance correctionOver-temperature, phase-loss, over-voltage and under-voltage protection are integrated in one unit. The module isolates itself automatically when a threshold is exceeded.
Comprehensive protectionWhen grid voltage or current harmonics exceed the preset limit, unconnected units are blocked from switching in and running units shut down, protecting the capacitor from harmonic overload.
Anti-harmonic capabilityCompact footprint and simple wiring allow modular expansion: additional units are added as the load grows, without replacing the installed equipment.
Easy capacity expansionThe local LCD shows running status in real time, including phase loss, over-current, over-temperature, three-phase imbalance and harmonic data.
Visual status displayBuilt-in diagnostic functions display fault codes directly on the screen, so maintenance staff can locate a fault without opening the enclosure.
Quick troubleshootingA full set of electronic protections reduces component wear and keeps the annual failure rate at 0.1%, with capacity decay of no more than 1% per year.
Long service life
Current transformers on each phase and a voltage tap on the busbar feed the controller, which samples voltage, current and phase angle continuously.
The controller computes total reactive power and power factor, then decides how many capacitor steps must be connected to reach the target power factor.
A zero-crossing switch closes each step at zero voltage and opens it at zero current, so no inrush current or arc is generated. Each unit works independently.
Every module reports its status over RS485. Protection logic blocks switching when harmonics, temperature or voltage leave the safe range.
Because the measurement, decision and switching all happen inside each unit, the module keeps working as a standalone compensator even if the upper-level monitoring system is offline. Multiple units can also be grouped and switched cyclically by a central controller to equalize operating hours.

Measurement, zero-crossing switching control and multi-level protection logic.
Flame-retardant enclosure with a ventilation path for natural convection.
Pre-assembled and factory-tested connections, reducing field wiring errors.
Self-healing BOPP capacitor element with internal discharge resistors.
Short-circuit protection and a visible isolation point for maintenance.
Every GYIC module passes the same four-stage route before it leaves the plant — from automated assembly to a serial-numbered test record.

A full-automatic assembly line handles capacitor winding, module assembly and the integrated controller, so batch-to-batch performance stays consistent.

100% inspection before shipment: zero-cross switching test, protection function test, temperature rise test, harmonic withstand test and dielectric strength test.

Each unit carries a unique serial code. Production and test records are stored against that code, giving full-process traceability to IEC international standards.

Years of accumulated experience in reactive power compensation, with optimized software logic and hardware structure, low failure rate and long service life.
Example GYIC-G0.45-(20+10): GYIC = intelligent capacitor series, G = three-phase common compensation (F = single-phase split compensation), 0.45 = rated system voltage 0.45 kV (F series 0.25 kV), (20+10) = two capacitor branches of 20 kVAr and 10 kVAr in one enclosure, giving 30 kVAr total.
Two independent branches per unit let the controller switch coarse and fine steps separately, so the compensation tracks the load with smaller overshoot than a single-branch capacitor. Single-phase (F) models provide one branch per phase for split compensation.

Four reference installations show how the same module is configured for very different reactive-load profiles — a factory with welding and drive load, a shopping complex, a grid-tied PV station and a critical IT room.

A heavy-duty production line with welding sets and VFD-driven conveyors ran at a power factor below 0.80. GYIC modules were distributed across three distribution rooms; power factor is now maintained above 0.95 and the utility penalty has been removed.

Elevators, lighting and HVAC systems in a shopping complex produced a continuously fluctuating reactive load. Intelligent automatic compensation now follows the load cycle without operator intervention.

A grid-tied PV station needed reactive support to meet grid-access requirements at night and under low irradiation. The capacitor bank matches the inverter output curve and keeps the connection point within the required power-factor band.

UPS and cooling drives in a critical IT room required fast response and high harmonic immunity. The compensation modules operate alongside the UPS distribution, stabilising power factor without disturbing critical loads.
